Most "smart" cameras report every movement: a cat, rain, a swaying branch. The kamerio camera system recognises a person and alerts you only to actual human movement in the monitored area.
Classic motion detection reacts to pixel changes in the image. It cannot distinguish whether a person moved, or if a car passed by, a leaf fell, or a street lamp turned on. You know the result: dozens of unnecessary alerts daily, so you eventually stop checking them. And precisely at that moment, the one important alert slips past you.
Person detection works differently. The AI model classifies, what is in range, and alerts only when it detects a person. False alarms will decrease, and notifications will once again make sense.
Person detection makes sense wherever you care about people, not just activity around them: entrances to businesses and offices, warehouses and halls after hours, courtyards and fenced compounds, entrances to apartment buildings and the building's owners' association, gardens and driveways of detached houses. We always tailor the scenario to the specific property: a reception needs different settings than a night-time warehouse.

You then monitor activity from your mobile phone and receive smart notifications; we keep the system in good working order.
AI analytics classifies the object in the frame based on shape and movement. It recognises a person and distinguishes them from a dog, cat, bird, falling leaves or moving shadows: the system will not alert you to these.
Yes, we use cameras with night vision (IR or colour night vision). In demanding conditions, we add supplementary lighting or a thermal element.
